Be cautious with "sell in May and go away". Slogans are good for politicians and footie fans, but bad for investors.
Think back to 2020!
Market plunged in March, and resulted in one of the shortest bear markets in history. (Fall of more than 20%)
If you sold in May, 2020. and gone away - you would have missed a great rebound in the market. May - November, 2020 rose >20%.
Forget about slogans - and use some well tried technical analysis tools.
