The longer things go, the more chance there is for a word here or there (no matter whether innocent or not) to get out. Then all sorts of speculation (often unfounded) and games start to take place.
Anyone who is not on board already is unlikely to suddenly jump on unless there is some sort of speculation.
The sooner the Trading Halt, the better, as far as I am concerned.
