I'm not sure I understand why everyone is so fixated on a BLA filing date? Surely it isn't a price sensitive event - they won't even know if it has been accepted for a month after filing. And it's not as if there is some sort of penalty from the FDA if they don't submit the BLA tomorrow. It looks like it was just a company target date. Maybe it would be better not to set these sort of targets, but am I missing something? Surely it makes sense to file when it is ready rather than scrambling to meet a self-imposed expectation? I'm trying to work out whether to invest - this just seems like a lot of noise which doesn't help with a decision.
