Also as a professional firefighter I will roll out the old chestnut.... It is not what I do but what I am prepared to do.....I dont justify the risk the risk justifies me!!!!
Most people would be happy to have firies ambos and police doing nothing as it means someones house isnt burning down or some is sick or some one is being attacked.
For some reason the volunteer services who do a good job most of the time are very guarded about ther territory. Ask the NSW RFS if they want a full time station to respond into there area witha 5 min response time, the answer is no but they cannot get there sometimes in 30 minutes. It is a strange way of thinking.
Take a good look at yourself.
