15-year warming pause is ‘settled’, page-9

The Climate Council statement of claim is that there is no Pause because the last 15 years have remained ABOVE AVERAGE.

On the criteria of simply being above average, if there is 15 years of monotonic temp decrease but not getting to average or below then they could still claim that the globe is warming.

The corollary is that if there is a period of below average temp, but the temp was monotonically increasing but not getting to average or above then the globe MUST be cooling because the temps are all below average.

These people are clearly ignorant if not stupid. They are not making any contribution to understanding climate change other than acting as a self appointed AGW PR/lobby org.
