From my naive knowledge, market sensitive announcements are release out of trading hours. It gives time for people to study announcements. For OLL, people have the weekend to study these results and they choose how to respond on the next trading day.
A more naive statement by me: generally a positive announcement is release in the morning well before 10am AEST. A less positive announcement is release late in the day, possibly even late Friday - to avoid ‘attracting’ attention.
The above paragraph is so naive or can be even considered wrong because one stock I own released an excellent report today. Also if you liked today’s report by OLL, that paragraph is also very untrue.
Can someone confirm?
Unfortunately I have no funds for OLL but I am following with keen interest.
