I have read your attachment, fair enough.
But the government is running this country, not the Opposition, is it not?
The opposition doesn't decide who gets charged and who doesn't.
The Commonwealth DPP only acts on evidence sent to it. It doesn't do the investigations. I assume the Finance Dept under Penny Wong does that, and then sends it to the DPP for assessment to see if charges should be laid.
On the face of it, it seems ridiculous for all this time and effort to be spent on such a small amount of money. I can only assume the Finance Dept and the DPP think there is a definate prima facie case to answer because Slipper has been charged.
Perhaps you should direct your queries to the Attorney General, the Finance Minister and or the Commonwealth DPP?
