LONDON, March 10 (Reuters) - Miner and recycling firm ZincOx Resources (ZOX.L: Quote, Profile, Research) said on Monday it planned to produce 150,000 tonnes per year of zinc in Malaysia by 2014 depending on financing, environmental permits and feasibility studies.
"Our concept is 150,000 tonnes in the first phase with the potential to expand to 300,000 tonnes of zinc," Chairman Andrew Woollett told Reuters in an interview.
"We could think about starting construction in about three to four years time ... then the development period is about 2 years."
The timing of the expansion to full capacity would depend on how quickly the firm's other projects were up and running.
