vyking.... i would like to point out what i think are some factual errors in your posts.
Firstly regarding stem cells and breasts, where you said they have grown a whole organ. I believe this was only in a mouse. And a quote from one of the researchers in an article last year...
"Dr Jane Visvader, the Australian scientist heading up the research team, said that re-growing human breast tissue was a “remote future possibility”, because connective tissue and fat would also have to be grown to have a true reconstruction. Of more concern is that the conditions surrounding the growing of new breast tissue could also promote new tumor growth. "
Note there is much published research on the link between mammary stem cells and breast cancer.
I should also point out your earlier article on Australian stem cell therapy was not actually a published clinical trial. Rather it looked like an extract from a newspaper article. These articles will often have promising statements and sometimes hype to encourage more investment dollars to go to scientists and research institutes in this field.
Also i believe your comparison between stem cells and TETS is not valid. This is because TETS is by itself not a medical device. It is used to POWER a medical device. If you wanted to compare apples with apples then you would need to compare stem cells and LVAD technology.
I have to say i disagree with your view on TETS. I believe TETS is extremely important because patient comfort and mobility will be one of the most important aspects in the uptake of LVADs.
