Well I basically work in a boutique refinery with acid (H2So4) in the stream. LIT's claim around how HF is formed and consumed COMPLETELY during their patented process , is a bold statement that I find too good to be true. I read LIT's official announcements before forming my own opinion.

Which leads me to the next question, what the hell do the technical people behind LIT have in their mind? Do they know anything about running a real (even demo) process plant, how hard it is to balance chemicals to obtain optimization?

If they rely on F- as a key element, then they will simply end up having plenty of it, and possibly recycle it to save cost. Either way it's F- everywhere and it's Catch 22.

These people, I am guessing, are running things in a lab with ideal conditions, but to commercialize you need quantities, which will remove the ideal conditions.
I hope it's unbiased enough for you. Oh and not all acids are the same.
