@Glug; the point you've made in that post is the main cause of confusion and frustration people are experiencing.

Politicans have been changing the rules on a daily basis, sometimes even retreating on what they've already announced.

It's my experience that when you're upfront, frank and honest with people about decisive actions you explain without embellishment and spin they'll accept pretty harsh medicine without a whimper.

But when your PM moves the goalposts on a daily basis, white ants measures such as banning crowds attending NFL matches and the importance of getting your hair done while beating his chest about what a great job he's doing and just how hard it all is on his family, .... we get bozos at the beach, backpackers spreading coronavirus throughout Sydney, staff at airports just wave arriving passengers through without checking them and waelthy people who love skiing in Aspen allegedly ignore 'self-isolation' and have great, big, wonderful yuppie parties at which they all share their infections and pass them onto Aussi Battlers once they've had their fun.

Morrison's decisive beginning with travel bans against China and Iran gave way to vacillation, indecision and confusion. It's small wonder your sister was led up the garden path but it was her decision to to trust Morrison and his incredibly stupid Muppets.
