Naa Doggy thats not correct. Young one's know what research is from their uni days. They know how to correlate fact from fiction. They know dishonesty when they see it. They are far more aware and independant thinkers than you were at the same age, therefore not tarnished by parental influence with politics. Old age is never and will never be a gauge for wisdom, it's only a gauge for habbits, and an inability to see the future.
