Thank you for the post, its so much better when we keep things objective and honest, it helps make everything clearer. What I took from it:
1. "Yes Billis via GPR is likely to send Rim into administration. And this is despite the fact that Billis and GPR are one of the largest shareholders in RIM so will loose out significantly via its administration. He cares so little about the cost, it appears despite his legal case he still isn't even bothering to sell
=>> This sounds mental and vindictive. When I started I was neutral, now I dont know why shareholders would want this sort of person around the company. It also shows his interests are no aligned with those of shareholders, as we have been saying
2. "It was complete foolishness. And yet you want to make Billis out to be the bad guy? He is what he is. He has always been the same - the newspaper article says he even wears the same army jacket. If you cross Billis, he sues you and he doesn't stop."
==>> Is he a seasoned mining executive or mafia boss? Is this how we want the business to be run?
3. "If you are stupid enough to undertake the kind of actions Rim directors have done, you are better off getting a flight to Brazil and bunkering down in the hope you don't get found. Those guys are toast - personally in my view. Unfortunately the've put Rim in the firing line too."
==>> The principle of collective responsibility? That is actually a war crime under the Geneva conventions I believe. Take down everyone as you try and settle your scores
I get you want to pin the blame on the board, and take away the guilt (not that I assume there is any) that the collateral damage will cause. I only see the collateral damage being caused by his actrions.
Lets be real here too - why dont, you, Bob and the others admit you know him personally and/or are acting in his interests? The posts are very clear in any case. Why not try to talk him back from his legal warfare, and work towards building the company up together? He is still a substantial holder and will make another motza from this all.
