Austria's Financial Market Authority (FMA) announces that it has imposed a fine of EUR 160,000 by way of a penalty notice on European Lithium Limited as a legal entity by way of accelerated termination of proceedings pursuant to section 22(2b) of the Financial Market Authority Act (FMABG) for breaches of the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR VO (EU) 596/2014) and disallowed Act 2018 (BörseG 2018) by disseminating information and messages that sent false and misleading signals to the market in relation to a financial instrument.
The penalty decision is legally binding.
