having read most posts today I thought I would put my two bobs worth in and pose a few questions for the experts -
1. Seismic -We have already done plenty of seismic and some will remember the announcement a long time ago about "finding" a lot of old seismic info. (nothing said since) One would assume it was seismic in the area that decided just where the latest well was drilled. So my view is that the actual results could be calibrated against existing seismic to fine tune accuracy then any new seismic would be confined to a relatively small area with higher definition to try and determine the oil kitchen or direction there to.
i.e. not Millions of dollars!
2. JV partner - If a JV partner was to come along and was limited to the oil targets I can only see this as positive!
We would save more CR's and by not being greedy would still benifit from positive results thus giving us financial security over the oil but still holding in our own right the massive coal reserves! Plus Kitty Helium ETC. Etc.
3. SP - This is a big concern that such a discovery.
(mentioned in one sentence in Financial Review today) has not seen at least a doubling in price!! Can anyone confirm if Pattersons would be issued shares already under their underwriting agreement? Or could they be short selling knowing they will pick up there entitlement at a further discount? The ASX site today does not show any short selling of CTP but I think they are behind a day or so! The large volume with a falling price on good news makes me sus!!
4. P/E based SP predictions - Whereas I like this input from posters I have not seen any reference to cost of getting the oil out from this particular site. Does anyone know the access road conditions and suitability to big trucks?
5. Rain and forward drilling program - I note CB thinks things will stop till after Monsoon season around April but I have a mate about half way between Darwin and the Surprise site and he says frequently the monsoons dont go down that far? (by the way Hess Corp are currently doing thousands of Kilometers of Seismic on his Eumundie property.)
6. Additional horizontal drilling from same vertical hole - I have read reference to this possibility but can PSI or other experts advise if this is possible and if so would localised seismic be needed to determine the direction of additional holes?
Just my thoughts to hopefully stimulate positive comments from those more knowledgeable
Good luck to all!
