watso stocked up on 16gb usb flash drives, at $2, from bigW last week. there are plenty of back to school type products on special - and it struck watso how a 16gb flash drive was $2 - and a pencil sharpener (a double pencil sharpener - in a bit of plastic to catch the shavings) cost $3.98 (ie $4).
within living memory, watso recalls paying $50 for a 1gb flash drive .
watso's first 42 inch plasma tv cost $2,000 - but required a set top box.. watso bought a few set top boxes - which included one which had a 40gb hard drive (for recording).. and the set top box cost about $400.
a 40 inch led tv from aldi is about $250 these days - and a few cheap usb drives will do the same job … also led's are a lot cheaper to operate
