17 million dollars found

Why cant the $17 million be found? maybe it has never been missing. Given the value of stock held by by API around Australia and the $ value of some items it doesnt take too many human errors to result in a $17m discrepency. Stocktake are usually pretty rushed (on Friday night or over the weekend) usually performed by staff who are tired and working inefficiently. I really dont have much confidence in static stocktakes. I know API have done additional stocktakes since the end of their financial year. The $17 million might show up on the other side of the balance sheet next year?
