Of course an earlier lockdown would've prevented wider transmission.
As is being clearly demonstrated in SA and Vic.
The earlier you lockdown, the less it is transmitted. It can't travel and therefore can be contained more easily. That also enables contact tracers to get in front of it and identify where it is. A crucial factor in enabling a limited opening up as we see in Victoria from tommorrow.
Victoria still has cases however they know that they were all in isolation while infectious.
NSW still has covid in the community still spreading. They haven't even got on top of it yet. Clearly people in NSW aren't taking it seriously enough.
Vic under control. NSW out of control.
