Human population is not shrinking, developing economies are expanding.... there will always be customers for coal until someone invents a perpetual motion machine/generator or cold fusion is figured out.
Its all cyclical, as demand rises more production comes online which then leads to oversupply so production is ramped down which then leads to undersupply and increase in demand again....
I believe as far as dividends go and as mentioned by other(s) the special dividend already paid as part of the Coalworks takeover will be factored into the t/o offer price.
