Previously we have covered Neuren primarily for its upside with NNZ-2566, a drug that has shown promise as a treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury and for Autism Spectrum
Disorders. In this note we look at Neuren’s pre-clinical NNZ-2591 drug, which has shown promise in the treatment of Parkinson’s Disease. Neuren believes that the drug
could potentially address the issue of dementia in Parkinson’s, which represents a large market opportunity of unmet medical need. Neuren’s scientists are currently
optimising the manufacturing process as well as seeking to understand its mechanism of action. Should this work prove successful, we see strong potential for NNZ-2591 to
join Neuren’s other quality pipeline candidates behind NNZ-2566. We currently do not include any value for NNZ-2591 in our valuation, due to the early stage of the work." Bell Potter
