Boat people get lots of government hand outs whereas immigrants that come to Australia via the appropriate channels have to fend for themselves.

Boat people gat access to free medical/dental, housing, even cheap cigarettes ( I have heard approx $2 a pack - obviously tax payer subsidised)

reduce welfare and increase punishment for crime would be a good way to get this country pointing in the right direction.
