Cabaking. I agree with much of what you say. I do think some of the things you suggest are what may happen rather what is happening.
I am not sure that AMP has yet started to actively reduce adviser numbers. I believe they will - due to poor quality of advice, unprofitable business, unable to support rising compliance costs etc. they will go for larger sustainable businesses.
While I think that if AMP get it right they can then attract advisers, and as you suggest other dealer groups will close, I am not sure AMP are attracting advisers yet. I hope they do.
