I’m actually looking forward for a rate rise. I only owe a a mere $220k on my rental house. Not a big deal.
Do you know why I’m looking forward to rate hikes? Because I know, every continuous rate hikes during inflationary cycle always create commodity supercycle. Since I’m investing all my money & super in commodity, I gladly waiting for tapering come to a fruition. When I exit my holding, goodness know when, maybe 5 yrs later or more? , I can easily or hopefully add another property or fix it in term depo with much higher interest. This is my play.
