DIRECTOR: TTK: George Paterson Joins TeamTalk Board
TeamTalk is pleased to announce that George Paterson was elected to the board
as an independent director at yesterday's Annual Meeting. With the
resignation of Paul Collins from the board, George will chair the company's
Audit Committee.
George began his professional chartered accounting career with McCullochs
(and antecedent firms) in Gisborne in 1985 after graduating with a BCom from
Canterbury University. He was a partner for eight years providing business
advisory services to small and medium businesses and specializing in farm
advisory, information systems and tax. He remains a member of the New
Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants.
In July 1999 George was appointed Chief Financial Officer of Southern Capital
Limited an NZX listed investment company. Following Southern Capital's
acquisition of Hirequip in May 2003, George was appointed the General Manager
of an operating subsidiary and subsequently, in July 2005, Joint Chief
Executive of the Hirequip Group.
Following the sale of Hirequip to private equity interests at the end to
2006, George has undertaken a variety of management consulting assignments
for various New Zealand companies in both New Zealand and Australia. These
assignments have been varied and George considers that they have called on
the skills and experiences he has developed in both professional and
commercial sectors.
