Port of Tauranga Announces
Change in Senior Management Team
Port of Tauranga today announced the appointment of Dan Kneebone as Property
& Infrastructure Manager, replacing Tony Reynish who retires after 25 years
in the business.
Mr Kneebone, who joins Port of Tauranga in January 2013, will be responsible
for the Company's property portfolio and infrastructure assets as well as
plant and equipment.
Port of Tauranga Chief Executive, Mark Cairns, said Mr Kneebone offered a
wealth of experience in commercial property management and development. He
has most recently held the position of National Property and Development
Manager at Bunnings Limited where, from start-up in New Zealand, Mr Kneebone
has over seen the growth and development of the Bunnings store network
throughout the country.
Prior to Bunnings, he was a Senior Business Manager at Trans Tasman
Properties Limited, a Property Manager at Fletcher Property Limited and a
Commercial Property Consultant at Simes Limited.
"We're delighted to have someone of Dan's calibre on board," said Mr Cairns.
Mr Cairns paid tribute to Mr Reynish, who joined the old Bay of Plenty
Harbour Board in 1987 as an engineer and a year later took on the role of
Property Manager. "In the last 25 years, Tony has overseen significant
organisational and infrastructure change for our Company. His enduring
legacy is the high quality property and infrastructure assets we own today,"
said Mr Cairns. We are delighted that Tony has agreed to stay on in a
part-time capacity to support the transition as well as undertake special
projects" he said.
