Retail petroleum operations generally shun EV charging. It works against their business model and not for the reasons you may think. Petrol stations overwhelmingly have small sites. Almost all of the site is dedicated to getting vehicles in, refueling and getting them out again. Its all about turnover. The last thing they want is a bunch of EV drivers sitting around for 45 mins taking up the most valuable resource they have ..... space.

There are exceptions, ie the big road house style stations on highways which generally partner with established fast food operators but this represents a tiny fraction of service stations.

Take a look at 7/11 who have gone this route. They have found that they can't profitably offer food and coffee unless they make the vast majority of it self service and get the customers out as quickly as possible.

RFG isn't a fast food operator and their core coffee franchises wouldn't appear to align well with self service automated coffee machines.

I'm not saying that the entity in question doesn't have eyes on a prize here but I question the synergy logic being discussed.

For discussion purposes only. Looking forward to seeing a substantial shareholder notice next week to confirm.
