I don't see Australia being responsible for ending the issues of third world countries. Any aid we provide is generous, and tightening spending, that is of no benefit to Australia, seems like a fiscally responsible thing to do in times of economic downturn.

This election seems to be a matter of voting for whoever is likely to do the least amount of damage to Australia. I personally think that the Coalition will more economically responsible, but, on the other hand, less socially responsible. I don't have the utmost faith in either mob, to be perfectly honest.
