A). The Present Avian Flu virus (H5N1) if it were to mutate in a morphe that can affect humans (human to human) is going to be far more severe and complicated than the one back in 1917.....
B). Well, even if your numbers are correct (10 in 1000 fatalities or 1% of the world's population) still we will have a pandemic with over 600,000 victims.....I don't think such a figure will make you (or anybody for that matter) feel comfortable......
