WARATAH TRAIN SET 23 RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF PRACTICAL COMPLETION
Downer EDI Limited (Downer) announced today that the 23rd Waratah train had
received a certificate of Practical Completion from RailCorp.
The Chief Executive Officer of Downer, Grant Fenn, said this milestone was
slightly ahead of the schedule announced at Downer's Full Year Results on 13
August 2013.
"This achievement reflects a significant improvement in the quality of trains
leaving China and the rate of production at our Cardiff facility," Mr Fenn
said.
"Most importantly, the trains are performing very well for the benefit of
people travelling on the Sydney rail network."
Downer's current Waratah delivery schedule provides for the 78th train to be
delivered to RailCorp before the end of the 2014 financial year. Further
information in relation to the Waratah Train Project is provided in Downer's
2012 Annual Report, which is available on the Downer website

Downer will provide a further update on the Waratah Train Project when it
reports its Half Year Results in mid-February 2013.
