APPOINTMENT OF NON-EXECUTIVE INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR
The company announces the appointment of GLENYS SHEARER to the board of
directors as an Independent Non-executive Director.
Chairman of directors, Warren Bell, said "we are particularly pleased to have
Glenys join the board. She has a very deep understanding of the retail
fashion market in both Australia and New Zealand and is well placed to make a
very positive contribution. Her deep understanding of the Australian market
will be of particular benefit as we continue to pursue growth in that
market."
Glenys has over 30 years of retail experience through department stores and
speciality stores.
Glenys spent 28 years with The Just Group. During that time the business went
from 100 Just Jeans stores to 1000 stores across 7 brands and three
countries.
From 1999 to 2007 she held the position of Commercial Director responsible
for the retail operations of 6 brands, leasing and store development.
She established the Just Jeans business in New Zealand - based in Auckland
from 1990 - 1993. During the three years 42 Just Jeans stores were opened.
After returning to Australia she continued to be responsible for the Just
Group NZ business.
Glenys has a demonstrated history in generating significant and sustainable
business growth with experience in brand development, financial management
and marketing in multi site retail operations.
