    Might be all of the above CK, including a lack in production and demand (i.e. the engine room).

    I have been watching the metal prices for a while, and the inventory levels are now up above moving averages (not good).

    Using the lack of demand, building inventories usually preceeds a drop in prices. Commodity prices are up to billio - if they peak and fall on lack of demand, so do a few other dominoes.

    Preceeding the 2007/08 commodities failure, charts showed a similar thing with inventory levels.

    That's what they have been throwing money at .. trying to push start it.

    Got to give it to China though, they made like cut cats in stockpiling while prices were down. Australias export quantities shouldn't change alarmingly, but prices might take another dive.

    Already seeing this in some equity prices.
