1961 russian log from teeg

Last week i was sent the 1961 Russian log from Teeg,discovered in archives in Ulanbattar, showing 14m thick Jurassic coal seam preserved beneath 80m of Neogene basalt cover.

It shows that the 14m thick coal seam is part of a +400m thick Jurassic coal-bearing package.
No data on the quality, but might well be vitrinite-rich like in the Bayanteeg pit.
As the Russians paid for much of the historical exploration work around Mongolia they often brought the critical data such as wellsite coordinates back to Russia, as such the available data in the Mongolian archives is not complete (and sometimes misplaced etc).
