Dino...that comment scares me to death... " What if a major institutional investor was to dump in the very near future?"

I was chatting to a mate ages ago about having so many INSTOs in a company. He works in the game and has the 15 years experience in teh financial world that I dont. His response is INSTOs are great to have on board. Without knowing about which company I was enquiring about he had a caveat for that statement. INSTOs are great to have on board if the company is rolling along and has good revenue.

If they are in heavy and their is losses then if they have too much power then the board can run into lots of pressure about exactly who is sitting on that board and the larger concern is sooner or later they can pull the pin.

Their support is generally conditional on making them a dollar. If its not and they can grab the reigns then they will unmercilessly dump. They could even dump after averaging down like the rest of us. They dont win friends carrying large losses on their books from a particular company.

Like I said , this was an over the beer conversation and I didnt ask him specifically referencing UNS. He just gave me the most obvious hot and cold reasons why it can be good or bad. I suppose if INSTOs start pumping it then that is them getting off the ship?!?!?!

LOL, that side of thngs I have no idea and hence why it scares me and I like to see more fundamentals in the progress of a company
