The whole junior to mid tier end of the oil sector might be in for some fun with the news that Shell and Woodside are sort of divorcing. Goldman Sachs are doing the transaction and from the news report, that leaves Woodside ready to play on a more open playing field. One of the upsides of this is that Woodside has a war chest that is not efficiently employed and might have to start running the ruler over a whole lot of companies that can maybe fit Woodside's growth profile.
