Report him and move on. The guy needs to justify his own decision (if true) to make himself feel more sane about getting out but obviously doesnt know for sure that he made the right decision. Youre out (apparently) so move on mate and let people make decisions for themselves now unless you have new information we arent already aware about, please let us know.
