Yep, research is one of my few doubles activities. I try to research before buying or selling a stock and than I research afterwards. I'd like to think I'd had done better with my Brexit play but the call was so close it was hard to do. Some said it would pass while others said it would fail. I watched the news until the last ten minutes of trading and figured the vote would fail to pass. However, I had already set up a couple positions I decided to stay with. They made me some chump change. The position I took in the last ten minutes I'm still holding.
Bottom line with is the company is producing materials so it's a solid long term investment in my play book. No research can beat a company that's grinding it out and giving solid reports until one finds a crack so to answer your question can we rely on our research? Yes, if we get it from the bedroom.
