Some of TEL's pricing action (etc) has much to do with Verizon readying itself to exit from the share register.
The recent capital raising also has much to do with the additional $150m AUD (~$175m NZD) that TEL is investing into H3GA later this month (as per previous announcements by TEL and by HTA).
