    Hmmm - if you are suggesting that car companies pay for the infrastructure - then that would mean that they should be paying for the bitumen roads now for present day cars.

    It would also mean that locomotive manufacturers should pay for the rails for trains to run on.

    I think the logic is badly flawed.
