Yes, I agree with you, Sydney. It's a somewhat reassuring that Amapa State is tucked away in the hot humid forested northeast far away from Brasilia, Rio and Sao Paolo. Further adding to the safety net of vast distance is the deteriorating public infrastructure, including roads and rails.
Also, I don't think Brazil will risk its international reputation this year especially as it's hosting the 2016 Olympics. Too much public scrutiny from too many media.
Fingers-crossed, BDR sp will have improved significantly by the time of the opening of the Olympics.
