I just happened to be watching GIR on screen when it all happened. A large (not sure of the exact amount) order somewhere between 200k and 300K was sold "on market" and took out every line down to 2.11. This triggered stop losses on the way. Literally took about 2 seconds. Before I could place a buy order quickly enough the sp was back up to 2.30 - 2.35.
Off screen buy orders, and brokers were quick as a flash to place their orders pushing the sp back up. There was another sell down (which I wasn't around to see) sometime around 3pm. But again it seems it was a very quick sell down to 2.25 and then back up to 2.33.
Amazing decision to sell such a huge quantity 'at market'.
Here's hoping the sp doesn't take too long to find support and sees a recovery back in an upwards direction.
