Looks like WOW didn't get "smashed" on the release of results today.
The share price of WOW around the time of profit announcement (late August) for the following years:
2012: $29
2013: $34
2014:$36
and now in 2015: $27.50.
Profits for those years:
2012: 1.82 Billion
2013: 2.26 B
2014: 2.45 B
and 2015: 2.15 B
From last years 2.45 B Net profit and share price of $36, we have had a fall of 25% in share price and a fall of 12% in Net Profit.
That is a double percentage fall in share price when compared to percentage fall in Net profit.
The share price of this stock was way higher in recent years for a profit that was not much higher than today's result of 2.15 B.
The profit today is still over 2 Billion and not that bad and yet the share price is way under what it was in 2013.
Crazy: During those days where I made those posts, the price went from $26.50 to $29. Whilst others were predicting it will go to $25 first. What went wrong? Nothing went wrong. You don't like shares to go from $26.50 to $29 in 4 weeks. Not enough gain for you there? I have done very well with WOW and happy with my trading so far.
WOW's recent weakness and visit to 25's was caused by world markets.
The poster who was waiting for $25, got $25.12 the other day. Did he or she buy after their prediction and wish of $25 was granted? Probably not. Maybe because they then wanted $24.
It doesn't work like that.
WOW will go to $31. It might take a little time (next 6 months) but WOW's condition will improve in the future. You also still have the takeover potential as well. WOW may however do a double bottom with the recent $25.12 in the next few weeks. I will monitor the chart and see if this looks like happening. If so, a proper double bottom can provide a very lucrative trading opportunity.
DSD: I like the attention and the time and effort you give this stock and its price. I noticed you really apply yourself. You mention "investing" but your daily attention to it is more like trading.
Those who are negative on this stock and not happy with WOW should just leave it and move on to other stocks. Perhaps you will be more happy with a small speculative stock that doesn't pay a 72c dividend. Or, if you are confident that the WOW will get "smashed", "tank", "plunge" or "collapse", then take out a large short position and hold it, wait for your dream to come true.
