    Buddy and others

Since you asked for further clarification i'll put it in this context:

Look at the AFL as a great example.

18 teams. Which are the ones that stand out for culture and performance?

    Why?

    What standards do they demand?

What value do they put on their clubs and their members?

    Now ask yourself this:

Where would PLV be on a scale of 1-18 if we use the AFL teams model?

    Top 4?

    Top 8?

    Middle of the road?

    Bottom 4?

    Wooden spoon?

Plenty of ways of looking at this. Some might say it takes years or decades to build a team.

Port Adelaide, the third youngest team in the competition with a new coach and coaching staff might disagree.
They took a team spoken of as near dead in the water with no money or sponsors of any magnitude, and a list criticised as being hopeless to 2 finals in their first year.
They got their members (shareholders) believing because they showed clear intent and delivered a clear message to them:
    NEVER GIVE UP.

    Thats creating a winning culture.

Imagine if an AFL team came out and said:
We are putting our reserves to sleep and we will now not set high goals as we want to ensure we over deliver.

    What!??????

What message would that send to members and supporters do you reckon?

If a team chronically underforms its staff don't get renewed contracts.

Its not that simple of course...but there is something called intent - and demonstrated results are an indicator to that intent.

Your tone has clearly changed Buddy since the days when you would continually disagree with anyone who questioned this investment... notice that doesn't happen much anymore?

    Why is that?

Its because the results and performance you expected have changed your position and are now much more closely aligned to others who have consistently raised questions here....for years.
    Many have moved on.

From afar i'd say you were the strongest supporter of the former MD (and you were not the only one) on this forum by a considerable margin. The same with PLV.
To see you change some of these opinions speaks volumes here about what has happened.

There will always be those here who don't get it, won't get...and those who clearly have an agenda to keep the noise down or plead ignorance.

How many chances do you give a team to produce results when all you get is more dilution, more questions, and a declining long trending share price with no apparent direction or energy to do something about it?

If the Chinese have this company where they want it, and the company are out of control as some here suggest, then the company needs to make a decision about what is in the best interests of shareholders.

Further long term downtrends and difficult relationships with major shareholders? - or a mature decision to admit the best course of action is to pack it up and package it to the Chinese and get the best possible deal for shareholders now.

Shareholders want returns. If you demonstrate you cannot or will not make decisions to enable that then new blood and new ideas and direction is required.

As always, its not personal nor has ever been - its business.

When assets get written off, written down and put to sleep followed by underperformance, then questions will be asked.

Look beyond the apologists and those who talk down questions being raised here - look at results.
