re: $2.30 stock a possibility.only if ?? Too true, and unless your a member of cabinet your not likely to know which side has the strongest voice.

One needs weigh up which pressures are more likely to sway the governments thinking.

Certainly, the Government is under pressure for economic development and job creation, particularly in impoverished areas where the local people don't even have the basics such as electricity. No doubt this has a direct impact at the ballot box.

Alternatively, there is the argument for the environment. One should question how strongly this is likely to impact on the Government's thinking when the argument is coming primarily from a group of idealists and not from the local people who would be most affected.

Despite the Environment minister’s comments supporting the cause for the environment (as per his job description), I think if you read between the lines and assess the alteria motives behind various actions one can make a reasonably educated guess as to which way the government is leaning.
