It wouldn't surprise me if Regal still have a substantial short position as insurance against an unsuccessful outcome. Assuming they've managed to accumulate enough at a low enough price they can afford it if the price jumps on a good result and they have to buy back some shares. They will limit their gains to some extent but won't be quite so exposed if the trial is unsuccessful. Still its a conundrum for Phil. Rich people's problems.
