re: 2.8kgs is a very big deal I'd agree that the amount of weight loss is not the main factor, but rather the fact it works. I'm not a doctor, but I would imagine in most cases they would recommend a slow and continual steady weight reduction over time as opposed to drastic rapid weight loss which could place more stress on the body (especially if, as in many cases, the weight is rapidly put back on again). Will power is not a strong attribute of the human majority, especially when it comes to diet and exercise. 4 years on a pill would be much easier for most people (and better for investors).

The other factor is the possible vetinary uses. Pigs don't get down to the gym and workout to shed those extra kilos. If their animal food supplement idea works, pigs can sit around in the mud, eat merrily and still be deliciously fat free for my sunday morning breakfast! Just think, even a supplemented Pork McMetabolic Burger at macca's could help people lose weight!!?? :-)
