Why are people so worked up about the API announcements?
The (authentic) credits data is there and new API requests are being received regularly; I think on a weekly basis if I remember correctly.
This is v1 of the API so there could be technical or contractual difficulties causing delays, so people just have to be patient.
Once the difficulties are sorted, subsequent API access shouldn't take long to sign up.
