With the snap election the Qld government will be in caretaker mode with no significant decisions made or implemented. That means it is highly unlikely the mining lease will be granted in that time.
Some Qld bureaucrats have been telling me for some months that it feels like an election is coming on because nothing much has been happening - i.e. few decisions being made.
It is also highly unlikely that post election many decisions will be made coming up to Xmas-New Year.
Unfortunately I think we will then get hit by the wet season. I doubt we will see much happening till after that when it will be all go etc. I'm looking forward to a good 2018 2Q onwards with MLM, but I think timing is against us for the balance of 2017.
