Is it not possible to build a scrubber or filter to reduce emissions from the power stations, which will then not interfere with jobs, but increase employment ? We would then still be able to use our coal resource as well as gas. What does the Govt. expect to do for power when gas runs out ? ....Oh, that's right, not in their lifetime.
This is par for the Govt's course, similar to the live export trade, ... don't investigate and make necessary changes that will allow the system to keep working, ... just close it down.
