Yeah nah. They do change MC unless the post consolidation price after trading resumes is EXACTLY the multiple of the pre condolidation price. Rare to see shares like we have here do that.
Over the years I've had 1:10 like here yet the price was only 4 times the pre consolidation price within a short time instead of 10 times. Even had a 1:25 and the price barely moved pre to post.
Arguably of course these are often speculative shares. Probably never really worth what the pre consolidation MC was anyway, and subject to whatever the price the market puts on it anyway.
Hopefully you don't get caught too often. I don't get too fussed. After all welcome to the world of spec shares. Make a 20 bagger one day on Share A, get diluted to 4% of your value the next on Share B.
