    It explains why the sea levels didn't change during that time. It wasn't warm for long enough to melt much of the land locked ice or warm the oceans by much.
    We live in a different world today with many more factors at play but let's hope it's a slow reaction again.

    The ice in Greenland must depend on its height, up to 3km, to stay viable. It's only the edges and base that ever melts, so a decrease in height, from faster bedrock melting, would accelerate that process as the top got lower and warmer.

    I was hoping joklers were icefields and not palm trees. Thanks.
